Kilnsey Fly Fishery is the number one venue to learn or improve in the art of Fly Fishing.
Our fishery is kept very well stocked all year round, and we have car parking and all the facilities needed close to the lakes, making it ideal for people of all abilities.
We hold courses throughout the year, all tutored by professional game angling instructors, and in groups of no more than five. At £60 adults / £40 Juniors, the courses offer great value for money and make excellent presents. We can also issue attractive gift certificates on booking.

Yorkshire born and bred, Jeff lives in the small village of Tollerton just north of York. He has been an angling enthusiast for most of his life and since 2006 has been a qualified Game Angling Coach, and licenced by the Angling Trust, the Governing Body of Angling.
He provides fly fishing tuition to individuals and groups of all ages and abilities and strives to put the fun into fishing.

Malcolm Hunter is an accredited angling and casting coach with experience of teaching at all levels. A keen angler himself, he is particularly adept at teaching beginners and helping people overcome their initial teething problems when starting fly fishing. He holds current qualifications in coaching (Angling Development Board Level 2 Coach), casting (Professional Game Angling Instructors Certificate), First Aid and is fully CRB checked.

Stuart Minnikin is a fully qualified fly fishing instructor and former member of the England International Rivers Fly Fishing Team. He is endorsed by the Hardy Greys Academy of Instructors.

Ben Fox has been fishing Kilnsey Park since he started as a young boy. Now working as a guide he offers years of experience and expertise on fishing Kilnsey and has guided several clients to new personal bests including the current junior record that took over from his. Ben is also an ex England Youth International, licensed coach, instructor with Fishing 4 Schools and angling writer. Mark Gambles holds a Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Angling (QCF Fly fishing), which is accredited by the Angling Trust. Whether you are a complete novice interested in starting the sport or a more experienced angler looking to improve your technique, he delivers coaching in a friendly, enjoyable and professional manner, which will make your life experience a fun and memorable moment. Tuition can be accommodated for various personal abilities and capabilities.
Stephen Cheetham is a GAIC licenced coach through the GAIA and the ADB for trout fly fishing, casting and fly tying. He is a member of the Salmon & Trout Association and the Fly Dressers Guild. Stephen also runs group coaching for children, ladies and gentlemen – both beginners and improvers – through the Salmon and Trout Fishing Association.

Clark Colman appears regularly in the game angling press, and currently writes for Total FlyFisher magazine. He is both a qualified teacher and fly fishing guide, with 25 years of experience on still, running and salt water. Clark operates an endorsed, bespoke guiding service, EDIP FlyFishing, and is also a mentor with Fishing for Forces, providing tuition and guiding for serving and retired military personnel. He demonstrates and speaks about fly fishing at events nationwide, and can also advise on competition techniques. Clark is manager and lead coach of the England Youth Fly Fishing Team, and a member of the Soldier Palmers Loch-Style Team. He was Army Associate Champion in 2012, UK All-Services River Champion in 2013, and has twice been an English National Loch Style Championship finalist. Clark is a member of the Angling Trust, Fish Legal, the Salmon and Trout Association, the Wild Trout Trust and the Grayling Society.
